They have a slightly different spec to others, stiffer sidewalls etc, I ran Porsche spec pilot sports a while back and the sidewalls were noticeably stiffer than the normal ones

What's the deal with Porsche fitment?

As Jamie put the compound has been designed to work with the particular Porsche model. Didn't quote on them as if they didn't work well with your car they are quite an expensive tyre lol. They don't make non porsche ones though, and some porsche tyres are fitted on other vehicles as they share the same chassis
