    Wheel cleaning product

    Hi Jem
I'm getting my new Jag XF delivered on Sunday (second hand but new to me).
I will probably ask you to detail it when the weather starts to improve again next year but i was wondering if you could advise on a decent wheel cleaner product. I'm after a 'wonder wheels' type product but obviously something safe but easy to use for a quick clean.
The wheels are painted silver rather than a naked polished surface.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

    Nath

    Hi Nath,

For readily available wheel cleaners Turtle Wax ICE Wheel Cleaner is very good and available in Halfords. It turns red as it works and does a very good job. It does smell of rotten eggs though.

Thanks jem I will have a look although why would they make a cleaning product that smells of rotten eggs lol that almost puts me off straight away.
I don't mind a slightly more specialist product from clean your car or the like if there is anything else you would recommend. As long as it's easy to use and won't damage the paint then I'm ok with i.

    Cheers

It's the chemicals that turn red as they eat iron that smell, Iron-X smells the same.
