The prequel to - "I broke my car just before the Weekender"

The proper thread will go up at the end of June, but I thought a prequel might be fun this time.

Who's planning major mods or fixes before the Weekender but hasn't started them yet ?

Current laughable goal is something along the lines of...
Get new brakes fitted before japfest, possibly new diff too depending on when it turns up. I'm not going on track, but would be nice to get them on anyways.
then there's a big gap between japfest and the weekender when I'll hopefully get the v8 fitted...

So I'll be at the weekender in the bmw then

Broken mine quite far in advance of the weekender Booked into Chizfab at the end of May so hopefully I'll get a chance to fit a trackday in before the weekender, just to make sure it's not working again

Hopefully my car survives Snetterton on the 11th May drifting.

If so, I plan on major mods then testing at weekender

Mine is currently broken... Got it back on the road after fcuking it at weekender last year and then a week after I fixed it I blew the turbo gaskets at a Bedford trackday

Plan is to fix the tubby gaskets/warped manifold over the next couple of weeks and then give it a shakedown at either Cadwell or Mallory at end of May.

Not really much else to sort out between then and weekender, although I am half tempted to throw on the Power FC and get it mapped

    Dolomite was the best -

3 hours before i left - the car had no engine or gearbox or subframe in it and had done no more than a 6 miles in 7 years

Still made it and did the track day

SX is knackered. I'm knackered so can't fix it. Put deposit down on a new kind of crazy instead

I have a couple of bits to sort by then but nothing too major so far. I think I'm bringing mine on a recovery truck just so I can be sure of getting home.

I still don't know which car I'll be in

If its the black one, I need to fit coilovers, get alignment done and put some nice wheels on.
If its the blue one I need to upgrade the power a bit and then do the above.

Oh and to top it off I am in the middle of sorting out decorating and moving into a new house and am on a course this weekend and next weekend which also requires me to do 2hrs studying each evening during the week.
I also can't take any time off work at the moment
    bovvered?

Well my Nissan has barely been driven since September. It wasnt going to be ready but as its going into the tuner on Tuesday and the Weekender is a week later than I thought it might be ready now. Needs starter motor, turbo gaskets, plenum and mapping. We'll see how next week goes

Technically there's absolutely nothing wrong with the 200 but that isn't challenging enough so I'm going to swap the diff and gearbox oil to see if I can spill it all over the drive and house!
