What do you think. Personally I love it.
If I saw it in the street I would point and laugh.
I like Z32's, I like Rb's but I don't like that particularly

Why put an RB in, to ruin the handling?
Takes big balls to fit a smaller engine.
No love for the Datsun
The write up says that the car was originally a non turbo, and he was going to put the VQ30DETT in but came across an RB and it gave him more space in the engine bay to work on it.
All kinds of wrong with that. No issues with the engine swap but the rest is highly dubious
I cant find a single thing I like about it.
Looks shit, end of.
Other than being a NA, the RB conversion allow more room in engine bay, it's easier to do any work in there. My friend's 300zx is a pain to do everything.
I think thats cool! Would be awesome with a v8
in fact its giving me ideas about what to do with the v8 from my merc

i love the z32 having owned 2, and ma mate owns probebly one of the best examples in the uk, swb tt slicktop, but apart from the xxr's that is wrong on too many levels
I think it looks awesome. Different and unique and quite aggresive.
So what its not polished and worked on with a clay bar.
Id rock it. Ive rocked a lot worse.
It looks half finished .... With a teenie engine in it ...... The only thing it excels in is looking like its been rescued from a yard
I think it looks great. It's supposed to look like a battered old war bird, it does and I get it.
If you actually read the whole story on Speedhunters, it's a lot more appealing that it would appear from just seeing that one photo IMO

Why can't people make cars that look nice anymore? By nice I mean subtle and not like they've spent the last decade being crashed into stuff.
And could that engine be any further forward?
EDIT: Just read the article, it gets even worse when you look at the back of it - whoever thought exhausts like that looked good!?

I can assure you any operational "war bird" is kept in tip top condition with no cracked panels and all cowlings in place. One look is all it would take for the flight mech to ground it and declare it as fit for "parts only". Then it gets towed to a far corner of the airfield and is striped for low useable bits that aren't life expired, looks like someone started robbing it out already.
It's the car equivalent of a "field bike" - a piece of tat that's on it's last legs and it doesn't really matter if it's totaled.
