you can buy standard washers to remove the eccentricity if you have adjustable arms? i.e. the same thickness and diameters etc just with a centralised hole.

also i've just bought all the bolts and nuts etc to replace the rear arms so can give you a list if you like?

think the total cost came to about £5 using nylocs and 10.9 bolts

Where can I get the washers? Nuts/bolts aren't a problem

SPL Parts do a kit with stainless washers and bolts, but at $69 for 8 washers and 4 bolts it seems a bit pricey...

stainless also means that it wont be as higher tensile strengh (and in turn shear) unless you get A4 which is roughly equal to 8.8 grade bolts but then other properties wont be the same. I tend to follow the rule that if its under high-ish load stick to standard steel fasteners.

i get them from my local nut and bolt supplier http://www.nutsofchorley.co.uk/ but they will be a standard sized washer that you will be able to get from a supplier near you, failing that, give them a ring and they will be able to pop a few in the post for you

i always laugh at how much people put a premium on nuts and bolts, stainless are expensive but not THAT expensive lol

for example i replaced the power steering bolt (m10 x 100 fine pitch) which was £4, everywhere i found on the internet wanted £10!! for one bolt :S

They don't seem to be a standard size washer...

    M12, 34m diameter, 5mm thick

hmm they just pulled them off the shelf for me :S they might have been a touch thicker but the OD was definitely the same,

ill double check for you what the exact thickness is of the ones I've got when I get home tonight,

I use home made 5mm stainless washers.

    Some more about the topic.

Yes, that's exactly what I want...

However £44 + delivery + tax for 8 washers and 4 bolts seems a bit expensive to me.

Don't use stainless for stuff like that as if it gets a marked thread you will never get them undone and usually end up snapping them off during removal

exactly, its very hard and will destroy it self if a thread is damaged on nut or bolt, also as above it is not very strong in relation to mild steel high tensile bolts, sheers very easily and also it is much more susceptible to heat deformation. It expands much more aggressively when hot than mild steel.
Best to simply avoid anything stainless on a car unless its visual and none structural.

Zinc plated mild steel every time for nuts n bolts

i used M12 repair washers doubled up to get the thickness.

there is a bit of wiggle room if the washer diameters aren't spot on it should still be ok.

Then I bought some M12 x 5mm thick x 38mm OD BZP washers, and skimmed them down to either 35 or 34.5mm OD, I can't remember which.
Then I ground a small flat on the edge so it's 'D' shaped, and they sit securely in the pockets on the back of the subframe.

I bought 10 washers for £2.49, and have only used 4.
I've got 6 left, already turned down, no flats ground on them. Any use to you? PM me your address and I'll stick them in a jiffy bag if you want.

Anyone know the specs on the eccentric lockout bolts? M12? What length?
Thanks and sorry for bumping the "thread" but figured all the info in one place and all that nonsense.
