Drilled the plates of the top of the strut towers and cleaned the rust up. was only surface deep so no repairs needed..

    Cut some more plates..

Removed all this so i dont set it on fire when welding..

Next i stared to clean the welds on the passenger side and put some zinc primer on for the time being..

Started in the drivers side next.. cleaned up ready for welding..

I then had a problem with the lad i was sharing my unit with and he let me down, and 5 days later i lost my job so i had to give the unit up and move everything back home to my drive.

    Cheers mate,

love the clarke tent, there are a few downsides with it though. there is no way to properly lock it also the front and rear panel do not sit flush on the floor they have an air gap. otherwise it is very strong and has withstood last winters storms and heavy winds with zero damage.

Also to help with my rebuild and so i had somewhere dry and safe to store everything i sold my 2 tiny sheds, and bought a hand built 14x10 workshop. specd out with storm proof windows. 7ft eves so i can stand up with no worries of banging my head, 1 1/2 thick floor and 25mm tounge and groove cladding..

    old sheds

    old base being extended..

and new shed all built, electrics and light in. and moved everything back in plus my snap on tool box from my old job and the 2 engines..

some pics of what the car engine bay and underside looks like after being left for 2 years with out being touched.. really happy with it, only 1 patch of rust on the sill that needs sorting. and a couple pieces in the arches that will be an easy fix..

Back on to some welding.. cleaned the remaining holes and welded them up, made some blanking plates for some of the bigger holes. then some zing primer to keep the surface rust form starting..
