Anyone has any info about this s13 ?

Hi there, accidently bought this s13 on copart, had no big expectations, but it started with no problems, and when we reaplaced rear tire we test drive it... and it drove relly insane ! so now i`m wondering what it have under the bonnet. Modlist, hp nm numbers, owners name , description, any info will do. thanks.

As above, could be a CA, SR or RB in there. Was going to say V8 as well, but charged V8s aren't that common in S13s . Ball bark figure? Average of between 200hp-400hp would give you 300hp but a pic of the engine bay will help us narrow that down .

So they don't allow the previous owner to buy it back as it's too far gone, then sell it abroad to a member of the public. This stinks. I wasn't allowed to buy a car back once, and when I tried to find out where it ended up, was told I could not try and buy it to break myself as they would only allow it to be bought by a registered dismantler, or someone with an exemption license to scrap cars privately (cost at the time was around £1500 iirc). Something sadly wrong with our system if our wrecks are going abroad either for breaking or possible resurrection...

that s13 is buggered. it only has a stock afm so cant have to much power.

Looks like a fairly typical S13, nicely modded with a T28 but nothing exceptional. If it's truly faster than 280hp would suggest, then I suppose it's possible that the wastegate might be jammed shut causing it to overboost (which would destroy the engine fairly quickly). But 280hp would feel fairly fast anyway, especially in a wrecked car!

Would be a good drivetrain to drop into another straight car, either another S13 or something else (perhaps an old Datsun 510 or similar). But the S13 you have looks like the frame is bent seriously, probably nearly impossible to make it drive properly I guess.
