    Car misfiring

Started car up today. It's misfiring no power. Checked all intercooler and boost pipes they all fine. Friend told me to check if coil packs connected and wires not cut or melted. Couldn't see any problem there.

However I checked my oil wil dip stick it's well above the maximum. Checked oil a month ago it was in middle checked last week before doing long journey and it was on half then. Not put any oil in so what could it be?

    Have you checked the plugs?

Oil over max sounds pretty odd. Silly question, but you did give it time to settle before checking it?

    New one on me too.
Maybe unplugging and replugging in the ECU cleaned up a dodgy contact, or similar.

I am suspecting that something else moved the same day might have fixed the problem, rather than dust in the ECU

Probably, did disconnect it and replug. Whatever it is it did the trick.
