Theres loads of cars i wanted when i turned 17 or passed....

Astra Gte (having a mk2 Astra L to work on when i was 14)
    Metro vvt-i
    Uno turbo
I wanted the White jetta from fast and furious 1
And as gay as it sounds,

There was a show on Bravo, 'Britains worst driver', and they done a series of tests to say who was the worst driver etc, and one of the tests they done, they used a yellow MK2 Golf Gti...and i thought it looked the dogs bollox!!

I had an 87 GTE Exclusive from new.

After doing 80K+ miles in it I chopped it in for a TVR then a BMW then....

Bought a 4yr old S13 as the closest modern equivalent...then added a new S14a to it as the closest modern equivalent...then they stopped making them

Thinking of getting a BRZ STi next year....as the closest modern equivalent

The Manta was a good car because it followed a winning formula

If they had turbo'd it, I reckon they could still be selling a modern version of the Manta today.

In my dream world as a child I wanted a TVR cerbera speed 12, or the Ferrari F40.

Realistically, for some reason as I was
Growing up about 13, I really wanted an Audi TT. Odd child...

Lol you and petrol Pete have done the exact same thing, manta, s13, + s14
The first sports car i bought was an s13 back in 03, i loved it even tho it had extra special air con (rust holes everywhere )
Anyway, a few celicas later i realise FR is the best layout, so, bought a supra, but still wasn't the same as the 13, then last year, got back in an s13
What car did i want as a kid? S13 or mitsi gto, because both looked cool with pop ups, the s13 won out, and i defo wouldn't touch a gto!

Merc C111 at an age when I didn't even know what a W ankle was let alone that it would be considered so dirty it had to be censored.

Otherwise a DB5 or Toyota GT2000 rag top (didn't know there were only 2).

Though a Corvette Sting Ray fastback (quad pop up headlamp, split screen) and the Dodge Charger III Concept (lift up cockpit roof) also featured.
