If you head for St.Giles you can park for free after 6 or 6.30. Look out for Browns, Eagle & Child (OX1 3LU), Lamb & Flag (OX1 3JS) pubs. You can park anywhere around there.
To get to The Crown from there, walk down St. Giles until it becomes Cornmarket St. The pub is down the end next to McDonalds -it's pretty easy to find

Yep, one off charge for the whole evening. Not too bad but given how hard it is parking in Oxford as it is, it just seems tight to me. They have even started charging in the Park & Ride's now.
