Could probably do Stage3a, see how it feels and then decided. If you bought used 3a bits, you'd make most of your cash back on them

Well i'm in the process of building up the SR for knockhill, decided I am probably going to end up in the kitty litter so moved the intercooler up and back, as you can see its a new unit to iron out any boost leak issues, pipe runs are also much shorter. Pic with progress will be uploaded.

And the finished intercooler, oil cooler pipes need tied but otherwise good. Got a new turbo to go on and hopefully we will have some more boost.

Got the old turbo off last night, wastegate 'flap' wasnt closing properly at all, has about 5mm play in it and was getting stuck open, even when closed this is the gap:

New turbo in comparison has good 'flap' and larger exhaust housing, going to put this on and mod the old one for external wastegate, just a shame the new one is cracked slightly :s. Think the apex tyre two manifold is better too but the other one will do for now. Hopefully we can have boost for the last round of the BDC at Knockhill. I hope

Nice one mate! Yeah they usually let spectators have a look around the cars at some stage in the day.

Got the new turbo on, I had to make an adaptor plate for the inlet pipework as it needed rotating, this took ages to make but works a treat, on for hours with a hacksaw and file!

Also made up some brackets for the bumper to fit and fix the rad.

Finally I removed the headlights and refitted, left one is just closed right one ducts to air filter (if I had one) lol
You wouldnt believe how much the lights and motors weigh, and its not like they have ever been turned on.

Cleaned the car on Saturday, think I brought half of knockhill home with me! , this was the rear subframe just to give an idea, around the gearbox and prop was filled with turf, could have had a new garden out of it there was that much. Anyway, got the car clean, bumper and skirts removed and fitted the new bumper. It was a cheap item sold with a fitting problem as it's made for a wide arch kit, nothing a bit of grinder couldnt fix.

I prepped the rear arches ready to bolt on and also cut a section out of the rear bumper, going to make a diffuser out of sheet metal at some point.

Next event Teesside Autodrome on the 3rd and 4th November for the Northern Drift Championship, cant wait.

Still don't have a base for the project, or a trailer for that matter, yet. Been too busy with work.

Are you competing again this year?
