Yeah I'd imagine I'll write it up similar to everything else I've done so far, going to delve into getting the ca loom out and ready so I can get stuck in when it all arrives. That's the only bit I'm not to sure about at the minute but should be ok once I read a few guides

Looks like my engine kit should be ready early next week \o/ getting excited!

Ordering a few other bits and pieces in preparation, wiring odds and sods, rivnut tools and lists of bolts etc for replacent all those that snapped when taking the kit off. Final pieces I'll need are really inlet plenum and fuel/brake lines I think for the time being

    Some more pictures

    So I now have, spec1 rb25det standard
    Rb25det gearbox
    Front subframe
    Clutch/flywheel
    Front half of the prop
    ECU and full loom

Pretty pleased with it, looks like it's done around 100,000km from the labels on the cambelt cover, but they're in Japanese so could be wrong.

Looks like it's very unmolested, which is good, but the clutch and fly look a little worn. Might change them before putting it in but not sure on funds yet.

I'll be swapping the plenum over before installing it and will be giving it a good once over. Can't wait to get stuck in...

Ordered a braiding set for the wiring I'll be doing to keep it nice and neat which turned up today. Will probably try it out on the coil pack loom first and a few other small bits to get some practice before I use it on the loom conversion

Also a nutsert tool, soldering iron station and a few other bits. Should be enough to keep me busy for a little bit

So I've accidentally purchased a turbo elbow and downpipe a little earlier than I was expecting too, next up front facing plenum search. Anyone got any links to ones that fit well without any work, preferably freddy type as I'm not interested in paying for genuine until I know the engine is sound

    Steves S13 Project

Freddy plenum ordered, should be here in the next two weeks.

Hoping to uncover the car and get on with some welding again tomorrow as I've also picked up quite a bit of fresh metal.

The countdowns begins! Looking to have it powering up by April, got a lot to do by then, with a very busy work schedule on top!

So spent a little time on this today, took the covers off and inspected repairs I've already done to make sure they've held up with the weather. Some surface spots of rust in places but the majority looks very good.

It's the first time I've been inside it in around 5 months, or even looked inside... Unfortunately it's grown a bit of mould on the seat lets, handbrake and door cards. It should wash out but wasn't what I wanted today. Looks like the sunroof is the offending part letting water in..

I was hoping to do a bit or rust repair but I thought I'd start by completely removing the loom from the car so I can strip out everything that is unnecessary like abs etc.

Will clear out all the rubbish that's currently in the car, old manifold, gearbox mounts etc loads of random stuff in there atm..

    anyways more next weekend probably.

    Steves S13 Project

    So these turned up today

And something to fix all the bolts that snapped, a rivnut/nutsert tool meaning I can drill out all the shit bolts and replace with a shiny threaded nutsert and new bolts.

    \o/
