never liked them all the sets i have tried (not just these) are the same the noise and the vibrations caused just inspire zero confidence when driving hard.. apart from braging rights i have never found them to be of any real benifit apart from thel look abit sporty, make allot of noise and chew through pads..

but thats just my personal opinion, if there were less goves say 4 max then i might be swayed as i know the science behind the groves i just think that most groved disks are overkill.

Sorry to bring up a really old thread, I need new pads. I am wondering if anyone has contact with Dan at all, he’s not been online for a few years. I have the 330mm kit with FERODO DS2500 pads but they are worn to the point where I cannot identify them, also knowing he modified them to fit so any help would be greatly appreciated, I would like to retain the kit and be able to stop the car.

Sorry, standard S14 calipers, not wilwoods, Front 330mm kit. I will get a picture up of the pads later today, but they have been modified to fit the OE caliper.

    Spoke to Dan,
Hi Paul, I don't know my logins anymore but the part number is FCP817

They then need the sides taking down, the pin holes elongating and the middle top notched but they should be able to match this to the old pad.

    I hope this helps
    Dan

Is this the "oversize pads"? I have been running the 330mm big brake kit with "over sized pads" from Dan for years. When he was stopping doing SX bits I asked him what they were so that I could make them myself. They are pads for an Aston Martin DB7, then using a standard SX pad, you can mark where you have to trim off the backing plate. And how much you need to elongate the holes.

I've been using EBC Yellowstuff pads, and the box says AM DB7 / a van (can't remember which van off the top of my head now, but I think a Ducato! I'll have a look in the shed tomorrow.) But it sounds better when you tell people that you have Aston Martin brake pads...

One thing that I never got off Dan, was what the 330mm Brembo disks were off. Or maybe any 330mm disk would do when it is time to replace them. Just need the stud holes adjusted.
