Chris down at AP uning has been spending more of my money for me.
Hes found some sexy front and rear hubs that relocate the arm positions to horizontal to prevent bump steer and roll centre issues on massively lowered vehicles.
He has also found a Nissan 200SX specific pedal box kit that will soon be winging its way down to Norwich to be installed
I do have another type of pedal box here but it was never going to fit so we sacked it.
Any chance you could move the group buy into the Apex section rather than the projects section Bren??

hi bren, not sure if its been mentioned on this thread before but have you thought of running a paddle shift system on the car with no lift shift. I designed and programmed one using a motec M800 ecu on our formula student car with shift times of 0.07 seconds. its pretty easy and cool as hell.
trouble is that gearbox doesnt lend its self to air shifter

ah, just read your post about proshift. i used the proshift solenoid but programmed the system using the motec ecu. gary, what do you mean the gearbox doesnt lend itself to an air shifter?
yes we use that on the mosler race car, they also run a gems closed loop system that controls much better than motec
the seq control in box needs more of a tug than air shifter can provide

but running dog engagement you only need the load to be released from the dogs to allow the dog ring to move across, it just takes a bit of time setting it up to get the timings right. you would only have a big problem if the dog angles were pretty acute.
Which pedal box are you going for in the end? Any pics- or is it a modified original part to fit?
Build is looking damn impressive!
We spoke to a couple of companies who supply both air and electronic shifters. They said that the box wouldnt be suitable. I spoke to Quaiffe and they agreed. We left it at that point.
We are using a new 200SX specific pedal box, pics to follow as soon as I receive it
The first pedal box has now been sent back to the suppliers.
fair enough, im just intrigued as to why they would say that as i worked for a company that designs and builds motorsport transmissions.
