Extended studs, but in 1.5 pitch

    Hi All.
For the benefits of nut interchangeability, I'm trying to find some extended studs for the front of a 14/a with a 1.5 pitch thread. I know that you can get some Ford studs and Subaru studs that fit perfectly (I beleive it's 14.3mm spline?) but they are all 1.25 pitch.

Does anyone know what studs I can use with a 1.5 pitch that are a straight fit? :confsued:
    Phil's post on this thread:
    http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.p...el+stud+spline
Suggests that Vaxhaull ones fit, but you need to shim them with washes - I'm not too keen on that.

    However Glen posts here:
    http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showpost.php...4&postcount=24
Imply that Vauxhaull (already discounted) and some MkII escort ones fit - does anyone have any reasonably priced sources for these? I'm having trouble finding some.

Or, does anyone know of any good alternatives?
They need to be 15mm longer than stock - so about 65mm i believe.
    TIA
    Si

Give Bimecc engineering a ring and find out who your local distributer is. They have most fitments. http://www.bimecc.it

In fact I seem to remember getting 65mm studs off them with a 1.5 pitch and a 14.3 spline along with wheel nuts to suit. It's what holds my spacers on at the moment.

edit: check the splines though, I think the front and the rear were different IIRC

yup, fronts are 14.3, that's what I need them for. They don't list the studs on their site but I've sent them an email. Was hoping they could also help me with my quest to find some super low profile (max 12mm) M12x1.25 nuts.

I changed 2 of my front ones and found they didn't need the washers second time round?? - different length of splines - makes no odds if you have to use them

Where were the replacements you got from Phil? I really don't want to have to do the washer thing. I've tried several suppliers and they just keep fobbing me off and sending me catalogues that say for anything not in the catalogue (which they're not) just ask

    Yup, I've just ordered:
    10 x Standard plus 13mm 47mm long 12mm 1.5 Ford (SS36) = £9.50
For the rears, so I can use them with my bolt ons ratehr than having to get new nuts for the bolt ons,

    and
    10 x Standard plus 25mm 63mm long 12mm 1.5 Vauxhall/Opel, Ford Escort (SS39) = £9.50
For the fronts, so I can use them with 15mm slip ons.

Hopefully that should do the job. Super cheap compared to loads of otehr places too

Cheers for all the help guys , We'll see where they get me
