I believe in myself (not trying to be arrogant) but I think this is important if you want achieve your goals. Also I 'believe' in karma. Treat other like you would like to be treated.
Did not see a link to this article yet so here goes: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
Why not use an eboost or gfb one? I've got an eboost and it's easy to use and far better than a manual one.
When I look into the hole shown on the picture on the 3rd post I can see something rotating when I turn the turbine wheel. A 1.0mm restrictor hole would not let you see this.
Therefore I would run...
I see. Where does this locking pin go?
I question your statement because my turbo does not have an build-in restrictor.
Not sure, with mine i could see into the core. A restrictor hole of 1mm is much smaller and doesn't let you do that
Yeah I believe with more boost a catch can would have more benefits because of more blow-by
hmmm...Then try and modify the cover I would say also considering you don't like the look without it.
Offtopic:
Also I noticed you've joined the rocker cover breather hoses into one. Specific...
It would do something but how much is hard to quantify I think, is there oil in the lines coming from/going to it and in your intake?
I see...wouldn't it be better then to get more cooler air in via an intake or piping? Also condsidering your hot air intake?
Baffles create more surface area for the oil to catch on so that would be better in my opinion.
However if your engine is good condition it will not fill the catch can quickly anyway. From what I...
Just keep the cover on. Keeps more dirt away from the coils. If they need to be cooler Nissan would have done that from factory I would say.
I've got the same turbo and only run a restrictor directly at the turbo. Are you sure there is a restrictor in the turbo? In mine there wasn't (GT28r from JDM S15)
First superchager then turbo because the charger has to 'drive' the compressor wheel at lower rpm's.
Don't know what boost you plan on using but you will need good intercooling to keep air temp...
I didn't know that, can you please explain why?
G'day mates,
Just introducing myself, I'm Bozu, 27 years old and from the Netherlands. I own an AE86 Levin in which I'm currently swapping a SR20DET. The previous engine was an AE101 4agze...
