YES! I've found my wheels :D
Yes, it's the gktech complete rear I'm getting (can't afford the front yet) as the whole rear end is apart right now. I'm guessing the rear track can be widened by pushing the knuckles outwards,...
Thanks guys - probably a staggered setup is the way forward and play with the offsets. Those Rota RBX are perfect! Damn the x4 bolt pattern though grrr
The restoration of my S14 is going very slowly, but the plan is to eventually get the V2 Rocket Bunny Boss kit on it - and that requires quite a wide stance.
For my rear intend to add the 15mm hub...
Ah, hadn't thought of drilling the rubber. Cheers guys, with the gear I have I'll try the drill and coping saw. Thanks for the info on bushes too - not sure whether I'm going solid or poly yet.
I've pulled my entire subframe apart except for the two bastard rear diff bushes - any practical suggestions? I've of course tried burning (worked fine with the subframe mounts).
Second question,...
I'd be interested if it would work for S14 too - my original fob is all kinds of disintegrated.
Well, what I've read about SuperPro is pretty good, particularly in terms of engineering etc. but then I can't really find that depth of info on DW or Powerflex R&D and fit. Just wondering if anyone...
Any opinions on SuperPro bushings? I'm redoing my entire rear end and I've spent a silly amount of time agonizing over bushes and brands.
Separated my rear wheel bearings as I pressed them out of the knuckle, but I see that replacement ones are single piece parts. My bearings seem fine so am I ok to just try and press them back...
Mine looks like that on the driver side - got the boomerang off and there was nothing left of the stud attached to the sill (doing a full subframe revamp anyway).
My question is, could we just...
Meh, flared spanner was too thick and I don't have a grinder. Ended up detaching the prop at the front and taking the donut off. Dropped the subframe no problem (amazing no bolts seized for a 20...
Thanks guys - I did consider grinding down a ring spanner, but I might try heat first and then a flare nut spanner (never heard of them but they look handy!)
G
Doing my subframe bushes and need to detach the prop - but all I can get on the bolts next to the diff is a short-ish 14mm open spanner. Worried I'm going to round them off too much to remove (they...
Been a great thread to read - really inspiring me to get some work done after the car has sat since 2006! First job is battery to the boot, then subframe mounts so I'm interested to hear how you get...
Mine has sat unused since 2008 (and for two years before that). My Dad fired it up now and then when I was overseas but we did nothing at all to it. For the first time in 6 years I fired it up and...
How stupid - another reason for me not to return to the UK. Could you just throw boxes in the back or something? I can't believe some jobsworth would actually bother looking into the back of a...
I spend 2 years in the US, and when I come back everyone only sells coilovers in sets of 4! All I need is one damn KYB damper but I can't find anyone who sells them.
Any ideas people? My...
I have KYB dampers on the rear, one of which is leaking badly - does anyone sell them? I need a pair of rear ones but all I can find are full coilover sets and I can't dump £500 on a full set.
...
Er, nope! never in my science career and physics teaching have I come across that principle! There is never enough air streamlining downwards to lift a plane - check out how much air a chopper...
Sweet!!! lol
Hey guys, been off the board for ages coz I've moved out to Colorado and had to leave my 200 behind. Anyway, I can't import the thing because it would be a nightmare trying to get over to Baltimore...
Following my girlfriend who moved back last year - bought a house here at Easter and I just moved out a few weeks back
Not shipping the 200 until I know more about getting it certified...
Ade, you are one hairy dipstick ;)
