Hello all,

Got myself an S14a which I intend to drift/drag/track.
Great cars, already got a downpipe, decat, exhaust and airfilter and she pulls great. Couldnt stop smiling after I first took her out once I fitted them. :D Really excited to know that the power is only going to go up :wack:

Question: Can I start a 'build' thread or is it for members only?
I see other guests who have started thier own build threads so why cant I?

I have been through the search and even messaged a couple of people who have had issues but no joy yet,

I have an AEM UEGO Wideband which i have installed into s14a that i purchased about 5 months ago, but havent driven till earlier this month.

The car starts and drives with no abnormal noises, no spluttering, no missing, doesnt feel to me as if its pulling timming or hesitating, however a friend of mine with a s15 has driven it and says he can feel it hesitating slightly as it comes on boost and it feels laggy (i cant..lol) but then he does have a BB t28.

At idle the wideband says im doing aroung 14.7 to 15 afr's,
off boost it can be anywhere from 11-17 (sumtimes it appears to run richer but i havent managed to replicate any known conditions so im saying its random for now)
..and the worrying one, on boost its generally about 13 to 15 which is wayyy to lean, so im keeping her out of boost as its my only car now.

The mods on the car are essentially a FMIC, 3" system, horsham stage 1A ECU, AVCR (boost set to 0.8 or off)

I have:
- Checked in the tank and she has a walbro 255
- Hardwired the fuel pump via a relay
- Brand new Bosch s14 fuel filter
- Cleaned AFM
- Swapped AFM cartridge in my original afm housing
- Made a 3" intake between AFM and Turbo (including a 3inch intake flange)
- Checked for boost leaks
- Swapped air filter
- Made a new air filter base plate and sealed it with good old instant gasket as the o-ring had a break, so it cannot leak now...this belive it or not made it a tiny bit richer..who would have thought
- Checked the FPR
- Swapped ECU for another which has an unknown map but known to run very rich and mapped for a bar of boost (it was de-imobilized so it was very convinent, was a tiny bit richer then mine but marginally.

She has been to got boost in bridgend who have:
- checked fuel pressure : all good
- checked FPR: all good
- smoke test: found small leak in hot pipe and fixed
- confirmed my wideband is working correctly and matching theirs: yes it is...

I havent swapped the TPS or CAS but i really cant see it being those...

Is there anything i have missed, or where should i be looking now, its starting to really bug me..

Cheers

Hi guys, some of you may have seen the 14 goes on Saturday :(

Anyway the reason that had to go was practicality and the fact I can't afford 2 cars at the moment, so the 14 is being replaced with something practical, but I will still be able to enjoy (maybe not in the same way as the 14)

The criteria:

Preferably 4 door, atleast 30mpg (less for a really nice car), manual (again unless the car is to nice to worry about that) and within budget of £5k.

Ideas please!!

I know there is a millions threads like this but im guessing cars are falling in my budget that I haven't realised..

Thanks
