View Full Version : How can I leave wannadoo?
I currently pay by direct debit on the credit card - if I just cancel this, will there be any comeback?
I can't find anywhere to say to delete my account with them. In fact, their member centre is beggered this afternoon - says it all really...
If anyone has found the "unsubcribe me" or whatever button, can you tell me where they hide it?
Thanks:)
There was one when it was Freeserve - I just downgraded to pay as you go though so I could still use my email account now and again online.
As long as you don't owe them any money there shouldn't be any comeback by cancelling the direct debit.
Nice to see your typing has improved in this thread, too excited are we ;)

Dont just cancel the Direct Debit, very bad move..
Find out from their homepage what their customer service phone number is, then call them, there's gonna be an automated service that answers, and it'll cost you money to call them most likely, but do it, and tell them you want to cancel your subscription with them.
It's around a bout the only way you can do it legally with no comeback, if you just cancel the DD then they can probably find a loophole or two to shaft you.. Beware though, when you try and cancel they'll definately try to fob you off with the offer of cut price internet for 3-6 months like they did with me, politely tell them to get the f*** on with cancelling your account, tell them you only use the net for emails and pay as you go internet would be cheaper for you, and they cant say nowt..
Apologies if anything above doesn't make sense or has typo's, been out for a few tonight..
Thanks MethodOne - that's good advice.

Yeah when I was with freeserve ages ago the only way to cancel was to call them, then listen to them trying to "tempt" me to stay with various packages and offers... They came across as a tad desperate at that point so I cancelled outright :)
