View Full Version : Trojan Downloader Help
Guys really need some help with a load of virus crap i am getting. I have used both Spybot and Adware to scan my PC, Adware finds a Malware file and removes it, as does a A2 (can't do superscript) program. The adware cleans teh files but doing a rescan straight after it finds the same infected files again. The A2 application finds and removes them. My homepage on the IE browser constantly defaults to some dodgy "Coolweb" site, which is full of Trojan dowloader viruses. I now get inundated with Pop-ups of dubious content. Norton anti virus doesn't detect any problems, and if i try to access Trend micro Housecall, the IE encounters a problem and shuts down.
At my wits end here, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
have you got the latest update of spybot and adaware? have you tried googling?

Cheers guys. All the Spybot and the Adware was up to date, but no joy. The link was a great help, expained a lot. Strangely enough, when i ran a couple of applications downloaded from the site, no problems were found. I have had no problems since either, my home page has remained as google after boot-up. Just seems strange that no problems were found, yet everything is as it should be. Bizzare.
The Cleaner (http://www.downseek.com/download/19450.asp) is what you need m8, does what it says on the tin
the cleaner doesn't go anywhere!
LOL @ Matt, the link does'nt work for me either.
I can also access www.trendmicro.com housecall now aswell. It found another 4 trojans lurking around in my PC. I get the odd virus now and then, but since logging onto the internet last night i must had over 50 trojans have a pop at my PC. Was it something i said or am i just getting paraniod?.
Throughout all this virus activity, Norton has mainted that everthing is hunky-dory
