Been busy this week & have struck gold   !! Well sort of,

Firstly I have manged to secure the use of a formiddable race circuit :D , sections of which can be used as opposed to the whole circuit, a bit like silverstone I suppose. There are however noise restrictions so I will have to look into that one.

Secondly I have been to one the UK's premiere "Vehicular Test facilities" and it has the biggest roundabout you could ever possibly imagine   . Again noise is an issue but I don't think it will be too much of problem.

So it's looking very much like we will have some more venues, though obviously noise is an issue & we will have to be considerate & maybe introduce some low key restrictions. However a small price to pay for some new venues. Maybe winter use & damp tracks may help matters but I have some experimental days at these sites to see how they stack up.

I would also like to experiment with tyre choice, maybe finding the ones that make the least noise, any suggestions welcome  .

excellent :D good work. Dont be afraid to ask us to "test" the venues too, I could make time out of my busy schedule ;)

Could you tease us with the location of these venues?

Almost but not quite, it's an MOD test facility, with some other interesting bits too.....

PS: Mira wanted £££££££££££'s per day & are fully booked till 2005 !!!!

Millbrook have a pretty large roundabout with concentric circles on it. They use it for ultimate grip testing I believe. That's a cracking location if that's what you're talking about Dec.

As for the quietest tyres? Probably the ones with the smallest slip angles whilst in use, so none on any car we're driving then!

Well its a well known rally location ;) , so that'll narrow it down it a bit. It's even got a banked track too  that I reckon you could drift at maybe a ton plus  . Mind you the trees are bit too near for comfort

I'm certain thats where i'm thinking of, it will be pretty damn cool from what i've read, but VERY fast.
