Dont forget guys - we might be sh1te at lots of other sports, like all the ones we invented (golf, tennis, rugby, soccer, etc etc)

But there is one we still kick arse in: Mountain biking! Again!

Go Steve Peat!

Text from mbuk.com:

"STEVE'S KICKING ARSE IN THE WORLD CUP
Football: we blew it. Again. Wimbledon: poor old Timmy got his arse kicked. Again. But our man Steve Peat is flying the flag for British sport on the world stage with another win in the downhill World Cup at Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada last weekend.

Peaty (Team Orange) again showed his Michael Shumacher-esque dominance by taking the win by 0.86secs from young Aussie Sam Hill. Muddyfox’s Gee Atherton showed he’s a man on fire by taking 5th – another superb performance from the 19-year-old. Dan Atherton was 13th and Will Longdon finished 21st (still suffering with a broken hand).

The win keeps Steve on the top spot in the overall standings with two to play. Gee is currently 4th after a storming run of results.

Flying Frenchwoman Sabrina Jonnier won the women’s event with Britain’s Helen Gaskell in fourth spot and Tracy Moseley fifth. Rachel Atherton, who qualified fastest, crashed in the final and finished 9th.

The women’s overall sees Sabrina Jonnier on top, Tracy Moseley in 2nd and Helen Gaskell in 5th.

We can’t wait to see what happens in Calgary next weekend.

In the cross country, Malvern's Liam Killeen (Subaru-Gary Fisher) was in the top 10 from the outset and gave himself every chance of returning to the podium for the second time in his career, but he was narrowly outsprinted to the line and finished 6th. The race was won by Belgium’s Filip Meirhaeghe. "

I've got it on VHS :D I looked the other day and you can buy it online. I'd do you a copy but I don't have two VCR's anymore :(

Every time I watched that film it made me go out and hop about on me bike. I'm not great at trials but I used to love attempting stuff. I'm wheelie/coastie mad now. Everywhere I go on my bike is on one wheel

I've still got my trusty Kona Muni-Mula but it's creaking from all the abouse so I'm scared to do massive jumps and hop about on walls cos everything keeps snapping. The saddle snapped on me yesterday.
