I love this board. I only recently sign up for the message board after several months of viewing and i've had so much help in so little time it has suprised me no end and want to thank all members for the support so far.
For those of you who don't know anything about me. I'm 19 from surrey and close to taking my driving test. I'm looking into buying either a 200SX or an AE86 for normal road use and drift day events. Thanks for the help everyone :thumbs:

Likewise, another newish chap here.
Recently taken possesion of a really minty Prefacelift S13 and have been on the boards for a short period now. Advice seems top notch and you lot seem sound enough.
Doesnt seem to be any boy racer tyes on here which is good, I think thats either down to the way the club is run or the type of cars we drive, (its amazing how many people dont know what my car is) or both.
Good stuff SXOC you can expect my membership cheque soon (as soon as my 200 leaves me enough change from the fuel bill anyway) :D :D :D

I have to say that's the first post i've had that has tried mocking me for my age and choice of cars, which is quite suprising really (Unless I missed something or mistook what you said). Although i'm young and naive on various things, i'm not planning on being completely stupid. I'm not about turn any car I buy into a scrap heap or Rice Burning Fast and Furious barbie car. I'm here to learn things, everyone starts off somewhere. Anyway, thanks guys for all the help :)

If you mean Dave_S's posts, he does have a point with the first one. Learning to drive FWD then buying a powerful RWD car is one hell of a jump in a lot of ways.

Sensible is the right attitude with your first RWD turbo car. I went from a slow FWD to a fast RWD, and it is a learning experience...(especially in the rain)
...I drove a 90bhp FWD Nissan Bluebird (0-60 in 12.8 secs) before a 170bhp (0-60 in 6.7 secs) RWD 200SX.
Just take your time becoming familiar with what's what and how it handles.

We've had 14,641 chances to get used to Leon so far, and I am still none the wiser.
I'm still convinced he's one of JB's alter egoes..

I went from a 1.2-litre Beetle (RWD/Rear engine of course - great pendulum action :D) to a Starion and that for me was the right way around without a doubt...
