Does anyone know about Sendmail>
I have been trying to get this working all day and I am slowly losing the will to live.
Sendmail was working, all I did was edit the aliases file on the mail server, edited an aliases file on a client and made sure it was identical on all other clients (Solairs & Linux).
One machine handles the email and the rest just do a 'rsh' to it and send mail.
All the Solaris machines work but I've ****ed up the Linux systems!!! :mad:
I guess I just need to get the Linux client to re-read their configuration? How do I do this??? :confused:
P.S. The error message I get when trying to run newaliases on one of the Linux boxes is:
Warning: .cf file is out of date: sendmail 8.9.3 supports 8, .cf file is version 0
WARNING: local host name (hostname) is not qualified; fix $j in config file
No local mailer defined
QueueDirectory (Q) option must be set
