Wanted: 20 show cars

Kiki from Option has invited us to have a 20 car show stand at the next UKD1 round at Silverstone on 17th July.

There will be awards for:
The best looking car
The most highly engineered car
The cleanest car (including suspension and the engine bay)

Anyone on the stand will get entrance as a spectator at half price.


I would like all the cars to be either of 'show quality' or highly modified so as to put on a suitable display.

If you are definately up for this please list your name below. If we get more than 20 cars offered the committee will be choosing the best 20 to go on display.

This is a great chance to help represent the SXOC at an event that is 'almost';) entirely dominated by 200sx's :), show your support if you can please guys :thumbs: Myself and Steve (amongst others) will obviously be driving so can't be one of the 20, but we'll be around and about all day, so I may see if I can pop the car on the stand at lunchtime or something :)

It's gonna be a great day anyway, so if you don't think your cars stand worthy, come anyway it's a brilliant day out :thumbs:

Mines not highly modded but is tidy with the parts in my sig if theres not many people intirested I would be more than happy to put the motor on display.
Theres lots of 200s that are a lot nicer than mine so come on guys represent. :thumbs:

You need to get the Rover club over, with some of their V8 RWD Rover 75 jobbies :nod: :D They would be mad to drift! :D

We've intived a lot of clubs, probably 40 or 50 but the problem is its such short notice with JAE coming up so not sure what the turn out will be like- just think if its bad you'll get to display more cars! Should be good though summit for the spectators to look at and you might even win a trophey!

As already mentioned there will be three throphies given out to display cars, these are:

1. Ultimate engineer-
The car has been intelligently designed by the owner or tuner, for example this may be the cooling system or the engine position. Really anything that shows time, effort and intelligence in its development

2. Ultimate shine- The car may be completely standard but has clean interior and exterior including suspension, engine bay, wheels, exhaust, wheel arches and underneath the car

3. Top tuning- This is basically the best lookng car i.e. nicest wheels, how the car sits, how the engine bay looks, how the interior looks and the look of the complete body shell

Who wants to be in charge of the tickets?

I'll get them sent to my gaff and bring them to Silverstone with me but I'm not going to be able to hand them out as I'll be busy. Anyone want to volunteer? You'll have to be there fairly early (so thats Doc out of the running;)) as you'll have to check the cars off of a list when you hand the tickets out. Any spare can be given to other club members if they turn up later.

The list so far is:

Bren, Cookie, RADS S13, Jenks, Vez, Richie, Ben Taylor, Docwra, Morf, Softlad, SBKRider.

I'll post this up in the members section as well.

Right just realised that I cant make it for the stand (unless you want my Audi A2 :p :D ) as the 200 will be in the body shop over the weekend.

I might have troblems
My turbo went a week ago but I've got a T28 now but the first time I can get it in is friday the 16th it should only be in for the day and as long as that is the case I will be there but if I have problems with fitting I will have to miss this. I hope everything goes well and I will be there but if I have problems I will post that night.

The show area will be outside the entrance to the pits/seating so park your car in the show area, see Cookie, get your ticket, go pay at the entrance to get a seat at half price.

I missed the last round so they may have changed it then, but the time before they were on the sliproad after the first roundabout, and the time before they were just after the main roundabout :)

Maybe Cookie could park up just after the massive roundabout at entrance of Silverstone main?

Just spoken to matt who was spectating at the last round and he said that you paid as you go into the stands. So we should be OK.:)
