We are actually manufacturing one of the soapbox carts for one of the better known Racing companies ......... you wouldnt f'ckin believe the amount of work, design and money that has gone into this thing
Strangely they wouldnt let me borrow it for my local chariot race :wack:
Trying to blag a free ticket down there currently ;) :D

I'll be there on Saturday
I'll be the one with an excellent first bend grandstand seat, in fully catered hospitality trying to decide which tasty danish pastry I should have on arrival, whether I should have salmon or steak for lunch, and should I drink free champagne or free Beer all day :smash:
Enjoy
BTW the hospitality gig is a perk from the father in law, just hoping he has enough places and I don't have to slum it with the rest of you peasants.
Can't stand portable loos without carpet and classical music :D ;)
Git :p
You are missing out on the experience if you're not out with the pheasants :wack:

Any hint as to which one it is, so I can look out for it?
Hope you built some good crash protection in, some of the accidents last year were pretty scary considering they're only gravity powered.

Ah well maybe next year, said I might not get in, still a chance if somebody pulls out, you haven't lived until you've had the works, people might not necessarily agree with all this corporate stuff, but unfortunately its what keeps most of these things going, megga bucks
Its not me at all, but its all free, and unlike most people there I'm not "working"
I won't be getting the chopper ride in from the 5 star hotel either if that makes you feel better
I wont tell you about the chopper ride in to three consecutive British Grandprix's, and walking into the Mclaren hospitality tent to look at Senna's car, to be approached by some foreign bloke who turned out to be Senna :notworthy: :D Nore the access all areas pits passes, nore the free chanpaign/food in corporate tent, or the grandstand seats (one entire block for the company) as this wont help at all
But Im with you on this, corporate hospitality is most enjoyable :D
goin on friday....freind's dad got four free tickets. very good sir!! :) :D

yeah will be there saturday, rain or shine, as its all prebooked tickets this year!! :)
friday was bloody brilliant - no other way to describe it, and no rain all day :).
sooooo many nice cars.
be prepared to be at standstill and crawl along in first gear for about 10 miles both going and coming home along the a286 and a285. find another way if you can.
anyone know where i can host piccys on the net for free so peeps can have a look at what a cool event it was? :)
Anyone get any footage of our soapbox (read: Composite) racer stacking it in a big way?? The driver got taken to hospital, but was OK :)
It was the Reynard one I think - racing against Lotus, Bentley etc., and had Rotortech written up the side

My mate got some pics of all the soapbox's as they came down (none of the crashes i'm afraid, we were at a corner further up) when I get hold of them if they are any good, i'll post 'em up.
Some of the crashes looked pretty painfull, so it's good to know the driver's ok, probably a good thing that they cancelled it after 4 races (Sunday).
Hope I wasn't the only one who came back from the FOS sunburnt.

They had it on ITV's Goodwood FoS special on sunday, didn't tape it tho :(
I take it, it was the yellow one that understeered straight into the haybails at 60mph?
Any chance one you lot goign can get a recording of the porsche 917/30? (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.mv?file=car.mv&num=422) 1100bhp, 0-200 in 11 secs, and built in 1972!
REALLY want to hear this thing but cant make it to see it, apparently it'll be driven by Derek Bell there.
