Got hold of a couple of Hellsing DVD's yesterday and all I can say is OMG. This is the best stuff I have seen in ages
Just gotta try and get hold of the rest of the set now
Anyone else recomend anything dark and moody. Generally into the Vampire Hunter D, Night Warriors stuff :smitten:

You could try 'Blood - The Last Vampire', X or even the Urutsokidoji series. Mind, I wouldn't recommend watching Urutsokidoji with your other half unless she's into a bit of the "nudge nudge, wink wink, dodgy anime`" :p
As CraZyMoFo says, you NEED to watch Ghost In The Shell as it's utterly superb. As is Akira, anything from the Ghibli studio (actually, you also NEED to watch Spirited away - it's a little odd, but incredibly good. ), Patlabor, Venus Wars, Project A-Ko (sooo funny) and loads of others I cannae think of right now. :wack:

There's a new Appleseed coming out as well, the computer animation in it is jawdropping to say the least. Check it out at http://www.a-seed.jp/trailer.html
The original Appleseed is definately worth a watch if you're into Ghost in The Shell.
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust :wack: Can't go wrong with some RahXephon, Evangelion or Cowboy Bebop not really moody or dark though.
I couldn't get the appleseed trailer to work, but it is here as well http://www.apple.co.jp/quicktime/trailers/appleseed_large.html my god it looks amazing.

Never seen any of the appleseed stuff. May give it a go then  Trying to get hold of the other Hellsing DVD's, thats gonna be expensive
I think my all time mainstream Manga was Dominion Tank Police, very
And I watched the Legend of the Overfiend stuff and found it rather....er.........distubing to say the least. I've seen most of the mainstream stuff now I think, trouble is every now and then you stumble on new/unseen stuff and then its searching for money down the back of the sofa to afford a new set of films
Where can I get this stuff cheap
Will try Ghost in the shell and Blood then
I’ve always liked Ranma 1/2, Tenchi "the uncut version that they never showed in the UK,
Inu Yasha, Ruroun Kenshin and Chobits :D
You may also want to lookup vampire princes mayo
To be honest, I haven't gotten around to watching lots of anime myself lately, but I used to really be into it, watched it all the time and can recommend the following titles, if you're into dark, kinda messed up, gloomy stuff. Blood the last Vampire, Vampire Princess Miyu, Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, Yami no Matsuai, Berserk is really good, if you like dark, definetly worth a watch, Onisama e Onisama is an older anime, aimed at the female viewers, but still worth watching, since it's pretty messed up and artsy. Boogiepop phantom, Lain, Evangelion, Saiyuki, Ninja scroll, Rahxephon, Noir and uhh Jin Roh. There are lots of new ones out, that are good, but I wont be able to recommend them until I've seen em.. hope I was of some help ^^;
I've been well into my Anime recently,
I've watched all 13 episodes of Hellsing and it's superb :smitten:

Spirited away was bloody awesome! And I'm not an animefan!
would highly recommend Golgo 13: The Professional and the sequel Golgo 13: Queen Bee (coming out soon as it happens). Also if you want to catch the live action film which stars Sonny Chiba, so can't go wrong with that.
Battle Angel Alita and Judge are both quite dark and interesting.
