remember the "turbo" button on the old pc's. what a con they were, turbo ON your pc runs to spec turbo OFF and you drop the frequncy of your processor. should have called it the lame button.

Funny you should say that, but we've just taken delivery of a Dyson DC07 8 cyclone thingy, and the amount of cr@p it sucked out of our carpet was frankly scary! And the old Philips cylinder was no slouch in the power stakes! I had to empty the Dyson twice before I finished one room....

The hose is quite funny too. They tell you not to put the thing at the top of the stairs, because the suction pulls the hose tight and you get a Dyson on your head! What they dont tell you is that when you put it at the bottom of the stairs, it pulls you down!

Stunning, just stunning.

I remember the Turbo button on PC's, it was actually quite usefull for some legacy apps, because it effectively removed the clock multiplier from the main board, and meant that the apps no longer ran at 4x intended speed. Ahh, the days before frame limiters :)
