I dont know about anyone else, but how much further can the guy crawl up his own arse?

At the start of the season:

"My aim is the world title"

After race 2:

"The championship is out of reach"

"Schumacha is a luck bastard, he has in incident which puts him at the back and still manages third, this happend to me and I only managed fifth"

I think what he needs to realise is hes not a very good racing driver!! or just not up there with the fast guys!

Schumacha is a luck bastard

Calm down David, Schumacher is the greatest pilot of its generation. He is also a excellent technician in terms of car preparation (remember Ferrari status before him?)

I agree with you Vez...
And what about JP Montoya? I love his driving!

Yup Montoya is the Man, 'bout time there was a fast mentalist in a F1 car. Good to watch. :)

He needs to learn between mentalism in an F1 car and Mentalism in an Indy car....

Indy car could almost be considered a contact sport, and the cars are built like brick ****e houses, so they take lots of nocks before suffering, unfortunatley F1's dont.

He'll learn.

And Schumacha is the greatest F1 Driver ever, and coulthard has come second once ;)

when asked "Whats your aim for the season Micheal?"

He replied "To win the first race, and take it race by race."

May Coulthard should pull his head out of his arse and learn a little proffesionalism (like me and spelling).

The other season, he re-invented himself with a Schumacha esque fitness program, just a shame his talent was upto his new found fitness....

lol :p

I agree totally. What Coulthard should do I take a leaf out of Colin McRae's book. He is so laid back and composed its unreal. :p

The guys diving along at 120mph on roads with a cliff on one side and a vertical drop on the other, the look on his face is like hes going down the shops for a loaf of bread. What a guy :D

Seriously chaps...F1....dull innit ?

Maybe is it to support his huge ego?

and if im not mistaken, tends to fall off the cliffs...

:)

* F1 point, I hate it. The team with the most money wins, proved year after year when drivers swap teams (eddie "the swerve" irvine) looked like a fine racer in a ferrari, now he looks like a muppet) I gave up watching it really, scalextric is available from argos, and is probably far more entertaining. Waiting 10 laps to line up an overtaking manouvre is as dull as that curling crap that was on the winter olympics a while ago.

Gimmy touring cars anyday, or superbikes (Nouriyuki Haga is like having a drunken ronald mcdonald strapped to a rocket, most amusing to watch) and them rally lot an all, what they lack in overtaking and racing is easily made up for by cracking 130mph in the dark in the snow. Thats entertainment as paul wellar said. F1's finest moment was sseing that hakkinen fella crying into his gloves last season.. the racing is just too much of a foregone conclusion. They should surprise the drivers by moving the pole position to the back of the grid every now and then..it would be more fun to watch.

blah blah blah... god im dull.

That was a class moment of last season!

But Mcrea in an F1 car, dont think he'd cope, It'd be like Dameon Hill (spelling intended) on Top Gear driving the Accord Type-R round an air field and ending up on the grass....what a muppet, Vicky Butler Henderson is a better Saloon car driver than him ;)

They need a major shakeup of F1 to introduce some entertainment back into it.

How about :

Turbos, yep the bigger the better, unlimited no restrictors...hey why stick on 1 when you can have 4 :)

Wings, nah get rid of 'em...might introduce some overtaking....remember that ?

Tyres, make them narrower...

Driver aid devices...no traction control, no auto-speed limiters, no electronic gear shift....

It would be good to see some smaller teams having a go...how about some restriction on car values i.e let anybody offer to buy a race winning car for £100,000 after a race

Mambatsu,

Don't know if you remember the good old time of F1 (whith Senna, Prost, etc...), but I must agree with you.
That was much more fun and entertaining with turbo engines (BIG power :) ), real tyres strategy and NO DRIVING AIDS--> that killed the competition! Nakano (for exemple) and all his little money-full little friends wouldn't keep the car on track for more than 5 laps (don't misunderstand me: I'm not sure I could myself ;)). Anyway, they already have difficulties to do so without breaking another car WITH driving aids...

I dont think spending £100,000 on a car would be enough to be competitive.....otherwise LOLA would be in F1 ;)

Traction control has been in F1 for years now, its just incredebly hard to prove due to the engine management used.

Nah...turbos have been done before, BMW had the best turbo wagons back then, although there qualifying grenades were great to watch!!

The main players in F1 are investigating a new breakawy series, so Burnies future isnt too rosey!

Get rid of those stupid groved tyres though...the cheating Williams teams were slicks at the end and they dont get penalties or anything :( and example has to be made....

Remember though its not really the cars, its the drivers.

When f1 was at its best we had Senna, Prost, Mansell to name but a few...

The only driver with Balls and conrol at the moment is Schumacha, although Montoya is up and coming and so is Ralph, everyone else may as well not be there!

When we have a decent set of drivers F1 will be more interesting, although whilst Schumacha, the greatest F1 driver ever, is still around, we may have to wait a while ;)

Ah but driving aids can be turned off.....just watch Schumacha Drive, traction control is OFF when hes going for it, watch on the exit of corners, hell be a little sideways on exit through most. And this is one of the reasons Ferrari are so reliable, all that TCS puts massive strain on Engines and Gearboxes.

The tire technology and Downforce is amazing these days, and I agree, manual boxes would be way better, but traction control is here to stay.

But I would love to see those 1.5 litre Turbo monsters back, 1500+ bhp, well cool!

The big squared jaw f**ker makes me ashamed to be a Scot!. Mind you as he lives in feckin Monaco, he's as much a Scot as Sean feckin' Connery. He should stop talking pish to the press and concentrate on getting a result. And what about that bird that got fecked in the car accident with him while he was showing off, she hasn't got a feckin penny from the cant!. Mind you he did call her an ambulance...something I suppose

Coulthard is the "Excuse meister", even exeeding Senna's best efforts! At least Senna saved them until after the race.

I can't wait for his excuse for being slower than Kimi Raikonen..... :D :D :D

Lets not forget Mansells excuses, "...oh mny leg hurts I'm such a martyr..." ..."Prost's car is better then mine"

When really it should have been, "I'm old and not so good"

I don't think Coulthard will win the championship all the time he has a hole in his a55. He had promise at the start but has turned into a wingeing to55er. He needs to quit while he still has some credibility and he may be able to get a drive in sports cars, touring cars or Indy if he's lucky. Sad but true. :( The 2002 Mclaren seems a bit of a bus too.

As said earlier, cant wait to here his excuses About Riakonen ;)

And as for no Germans, the only entertainment on the track is coming from Germans, and lets face it, Schumacher is the best!

I just came up with an excuse for Coulthard: (bits in brackets are to make him sound more scotish and are not neccessarily true):

"Ya see (Jimmy), Raikonens car is lighter than mine, and thats why his out qualifying me so consistently (ii the noo). Its simple really, and Mcclaren really need to pull the fingers (ooouta there haggises) and reduce the surface area of my number on my car and therefore making it as light (fecking tightwads mcclaren) as Riakenens car"

;)

I laughed my ass off when I read the papers with him wingeing on about M.Schu's 1st corner incident with Montoya in Malaysia. He was whining on about that when he "came together" with Schumi he did'nt get away with it so easy and that Montoya got off lightly with the stewards!!!! PARANOIA or what? Or maybe it is a Schumacher/Ecclestone conspiricy and Montoya is their love child!!!!!! Think about that one David!!!!!:p

He was whining that he wasnt so lucky, he only finished fifth, AND HE HAD THE BEST CAR, what a knob!
