Who's the fastest? (on average)

For example, who has the highest mean average speed over 100 miles?

My best is an average 92.6mph between Dover and Wolverhampton (don't ask)!

That's piss poor mate, done Exeter to London 2am New Years' day 1999 in 1hr 45 min - roughly 200 miles = 114.28 mph

And that's with 3 up in the s13

Beat that!

Did from A1224 - A14 Roundabouts up the A12 (17 miles) in 8 minutes, thats around 125mph I think, but wasn't really a long journey http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

And managed Colchester to Barnstaple in 3hrs 30 minutes with a 10 minute break, and that's 300 miles, so around 95mph average I suppose http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Do you like Horsham or is it just a point on your route?

.. there is no motorway to Brighton ;-) - only the A23! M23 stops nr Gatwick.

Brighton to the Chunnel: I've not done this in less than 90 minutes, and that was going all the way up to the M25, along and down the M20 I think... the coastal road is VERY twisty, poorly marked, busy etc. It took me 2 hrs last time!

Officer ............. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif
Yeah, OK, the A23 isnt a motorway, but it might as well be ..........
And I did the chunnel by going back up the M23, M25, M20 - traffic wasnt too bad, and I had to catch a train, so held 125 ish all the way. It may have been slightly more than 50 minutes thinking about it actually, but was definitely around the hour mark, seeing as we only had 1hr 15 to catch the train!!
Only time the missus has let me do it without the usual earole anyway http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/rolleyes.gif

If you speed on a French motorway throw away your toll ticket cos they time you between toll booths http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif

Hmm, I always leave clacton in hurry. Guess that's just what happens when you live there. :D Have to time it next time.

Leigh, Kent area to Blackpool, Lancashire in 3 hours exactly. Possibly one or two minutes out. Had to stop twice for fuel. No clue to mileage/speed, but the revs were over 5000 pretty much all the way
