Picture the scene.
You are a plant evolving. In a swamp. You can't get enough nutrients so you start to eat flies. (carnivorous plants! if i got al religous on yo ass then I would probably use the venus flytrap as a prime example of the existance of a unified creator)
Anyway, fast forward a few squiggillion years. You're sitting in someone's kitchen. In a dish of water as prescribed by the plastic label stuck into your marsh like compost.
But the flies in the kitchen don't want to know and aren't heavy enough to set of your hair triggers, so the young man of the house is forced to catch them for you, put them in your traps (half immobilised) and tickle your trap with a plastic thing to get it shut.
I've fed the Venus Fly Trap 3 flies like this tonight and the dracula plant 2. Including a recently expired wasp :eek:
