I have just got off the phone to Declan and unfortunately the drift practice day planned for tomorrow has been cancelled. Declan has asked me to put the following notice as he is an hour away from a PC.

It's basically down to the fact that its the hippies summer holiday this weekend and the MOD (who's land it is) are blocking off all the entrances to keep them away. The land agents shouldn't have said that we could use the land this weekend. And nobody thought to phone Declan to tell him.

Declan is very sorry to all that were due to go, but he only found out when he went down there half an hour ago to set up for tomorrow. There is a possibility it will be on for next weekend but watch this space for confirmation.

Again, huge appologies for the late notice. Please e-mail/phone anyone you know that was going to this event and tell them its cancelled.

Any questions/queries please dont hesitate to contact Declan on 07970 642129, or me on 07763 681791.

Regards
Rob

Waaaaa

Wanted to try out my welded diff :(

Initial road test gave lots of understeer til the back stepped out. Doesn't like doing tight circles at low speed

Lol. another pervert who welds diffs. :D I like :D

Ther is a technique to drifting with a welded diff. because there is no slip at all they give very good traction at the back end and getting both wheels spinning can require a violent touch at first, so dont try to power over or the car will push on (understeer) Come in fast and flick the car at the same time as backing off the gas, use the resultant wieght shift (and clutch kick if neccesary) to get the back out and then get back on the gas and use the permanantly locked diff to keep it there.

Have fun! ;)
