I was trying to play the Drift VCD's (there was a post about this a while back)

I can't seem to play it for some reason - Win Media player says format not supported !!

I have downloaded a few free VCD players and they don't seem to work either.

Also tried playing it with a DVD player - it comes up with the intro screen - no sound or anything its a static screen and thats it - nothing happens .. can't move on to the next chapter or anything ?

I really want to watch this - please help - cna it be that the some files are missing / corrupt or something.

Got no idea whether VCD do codecs but if you dont have em already, the DivX and mpeg4 codecs are worth having :)

Load up Power DVD or Windows media player and open up the file named AVSEQ00? in the MPEGAV folder. This is the video file itself, assuming it's a properly structured VCD.

Errrr..yes it is ya cheeky git  :D :D

PK - The VCD is designed to be run on a home DVD player (to get the menu's and backdrop).
It's a VCD, NOT a DVD so why are you trying to run it through a piece of DVD decoder software on the computer??
If you want to run it on the computer you wont get the menu's or backdrop. What you have to do is browse the cd and open the directory called "MPEGAV" and the video's are in there (Windows Media Player should be used to view them)

Hope this clears up your problems.
