Right (deep breath).
I have a simple network here, running Netscreen firewall and ADSL. All is normal when coming to the setup, except I'm running a mail server off on of the ethernet ports on the ADSL (got 5 IPs).
Now, my problems start when trying to open up FTP to allow a collegue to connect and drag files back and forth (only connected on demand - and with a software firewall guarding this port).
Problem 1: Firewall went spastic, whining about TCP/IP spoofing (as our server has dual ethernet ports) - one connected to internal switches, other connected to ADSL router.
Problem 2: I can connect fine to the FTP and works like a dream (as any machine internal), but collegue gets a "connection error has occured" message. so whats all that about?
He should be dialling the IP, which should be pointed to out router, which should detect that this IP is running on one of its ethernet ports and allow communication. there is NO link to our hardware firewall for this connection.. so I'm stumped.
Ideas?
