I remember about 6 years ago on holiday with my parents, the police took it out of the car and stamped on it on the road :eek:

They then also fined my dad £300.

It didn't even work at the time, as he demonstrated to them.

Happend to a bud of mine. Was fined 363£ and then they confiscated the detector.

I´l shove mine down the pants if they try to stop me :D

A friend of mine was travelling in France over easter, he was pulled over by the cops for no reason :whip: (he wasn't speeding or anything), and after seeing a multitude of wires in the centre console for phone chargers etc, demanded to search the car whereby they found his radar dectector :annoyed:. He hadn't even used it in France, was purely for the journey to and from Dover. Still they confiscated the detector and fined him 800 euros :eek: . I think its a bit stupid, what are British motorists to do, chuck their detector in the bin when they get to the ferry port??:rant: I can't see why there is a problem as long as they aren't using it.. Anyway, just my opinion...!

Anyway, you'll be pleased to learn that the "gatsos localizers" (little GPS box warning when you approach a gatso) are to become legal in our country :thumbs: not really detectors, but that's a step !

My mate over at Le Mans at the weekend said the amount of cars being pulled over and fined were unreal.....the average fine was 90 euros, (bloody mickey mouse money)

And u know damn well that cash goes in the rozzers back pocket too.... :censored:
