Where can I find a cheap personalised number plate. And whats the cheapest they go for. I am looking to buy one only if it is around £20 :wack:

£20, not a chance  . Then there's the transfer fee of £80 on top of that.

http://google.make-your-own.co.uk/

Looks like £199 is the cheapest plate + the £80 as JB says!

So £280-£300 is the starting price! £20 :p :p :p :p :p  :)

If it was £20 I would change my plate every month just to confuse people and myself :)

You can get some cheapy ones on here:

http://motors.listings.ebay.co.uk/Cherished-Numbers_W0QQfromZR0Q3fssPageNameQ3dUKMHP1Q3aOnosQQ sacategoryZ421QQsocmdZListingItemList

I was after one, but the guy wanted me to send my documents to him for the transfer. I was a bit wary so didn't bother in the end, check the feedback ratings before bidding.

I've got a plate LCZ 5773, means nothing to me but came with the car. Is it worth selling and how much wonga would I get for it? Put a screw next to C and you get LEZ, good for people called Lez or bisexual women I guess.

£20 PMSL :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:

a set of plates would cost more than that let alone personalised ones :D

If you sell your personal plate and don't have one to replace it, will the DVLA automatically assign your car a new one as part of the transfer fee?

Autotrader sometimes have plates in the small trade ad's at the back... starting from £29 plus £80 doc fee plus £20 for plates to be made up.

Thats definitely the cheapest...

If you're lucky £20 will get you a couple of bits of plastic and some stick on letters - pukka :)

Dateless ones go cheap at www.regtransfers.co.uk - dateless ones are best (like ABC1234 instead of A123BCD) I reckon because cheaper personalised plates in normal configuration aren't really obvious as personalised plates. I think they had some around £49 last time I looked. There IS the transfer fee from DVLA which is like £80 on top of it though, personalised plates people like to play that down.

What's personal about w44?

Mine's got a personal plate but it's a bit pants really, 200 is ok but the letters don't mean anything. Regtransfers reckon it's worth about £400 though.

The trouble with irish plates is that abc1234 doesn't exist.

It's always XIZ1234 or similar. Very obvious.

Not too bad if your name is BAZ, GAZ or KAZ but useless for most peeps.
