Quick question for the experts.......
Are Drift and Drag diffs the same?
As i may be getting a Tomei Diff for my skyline, and the seller says its a Drift/Drag diff??
Also is the HICAS lock worth buying too?
Thanks

Is there any easy way you can tell if its 1way or 2way?

Do it!!! if it clunks really badly when parking (it sounds like thats what he doesn't like) then it means its a drifty diff.. snap that up right now for that price..

I think I will
thanks Phil
What a bargain!
Someone really needs to start selling secondhand 2 way diffs from Japan.
Muchos bargainos. If its the same Tomei diff that I use then it can be switched between 1.5 and 2-way (possibly 1way too but can't remember off hand)

What would cause the clunking?
When making low speed maneuvres like parallel parking, the inner wheel TRIES to match the outer wheel's rotation. The diff notices that as "wheelspin" and locks. The clunking is the gears of the diff trying to lock.
My diff also has that (65% lock), sometimes it sounds as it's self-destructing :wack:
