Dunno if it's just me, cos my leg still thinks its on a clutch and err pushes 'a little' too hard for comfort.

I'm learning fast - haven't done that yet!
Gone around plenty of tight corners very fast though with no twitching!!!
Only when you've got some tw@t on your tail
left to get the break lights on while holding it just on boost.

Left foot braking is what all rally drivers do. The really tricky part is changing up and down gears at the same time without using the clutch - its possible with practice but don't blame me if you don't have any syncromesh left !!

I havent really found any use for left foot braking, you can get round corners just as quick by your regular driving technique.. I think left foot braking is best to bring the car back onto your line, if you get a little to enthusiastic.. But, if anyone has ever tried this, you will know how hard your left leg seems to press the brake.. Headbutting the steering wheel is common! haha...
I think if you pressed it mid turn without practicing you would end up facing the other way. Seriously. I say steer clear of it.
Heal and Toe is much more usefull, especially on a track. Keeps the car nice and balanced (not that it matters so much in my FF configuration)...
How are S13 pedals positioned? Is Heal and Toe nice to do in an S13?

A VERY good question where I will add mine to.
Well, I AM able to heel toe in my car, but it is very hard and I have to adjust the steering wheel to a position which I don't like that much.
Basically I have the problem that I hit the steering wheel with my knee.
Being a bit large (6ft 1'' if I calculated that right to your strange units http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif ) I really have a problem with this
Anybody sharing my dilemma or some solution?
Christian
Nissan don't like us chunky brits - you should see matt_j trying to heel/toe, it's pure comedy! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
Myself I have to do the position inversely as my leg doesn't fit under the wheel at it's highest point normally :\
Fitment of new super small and light and pretty wheel soon innit!
Er....Save it for the airfield, you need lots and lots of practice (and wide open spaces), It can help overcome understeer, by altering the weight transfer therefore provoking mild/medium/big/bigger oversteer and/or stopping the wheels from spinning, enabling you to alter your line, get it right and you'll feel like Colin McRae, if it comes naturally you probably ARE Colin McRae.
btw I'm crap at it, but practice a lot on GT3!

I think a rally driver should answer this....
Hotrod is right, its a method used to alter weight distribution and eliminate understeer.
I found it tricky enough in the Manta 400.
Very very tricky with servo assisted brakes and absolutely ****e with over enthusiastic road going ABS systems.
Not recommended for road use.
Try this instead:
Turn into the corner before lifting off the brakes. This has the effect of inducing mild oversteer before the apex and with encouragement hooge oversteer after, allows far later braking, and with practice, is better at elimating understeer on the road.
Heel and Toeing.
Used as a means of reducing snap oversteer or wheel lock-up from transmission snatch under hard braking. Keeps the car more stable. Also has the added advantage of prolonging clutch and gearbox life.
Just about possible in the cramped 200 kickwell. Impossible if the wipers are switched on in the S14a though.
could always buy an auto ......... http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
