How long does it take to install broadband?

At the moment, I have no BT phone line. I assume this could be connected within a day or so.

How long to activate an ADSL connection, and install the gubbins, and get my ass on line? :)

I think it took me about 72 hours.

I just got a BT line installed and Nildram ADSL set up.

Took just over a week to get the phone line set up and running (newly built house so had to get the engineer out to fit the wall sockets).

The ADSL was supposed to take 10 days to get set up (but can only be ordered once the phone line is up and running). I hooked up my modem after 6 days and found the line had already been made active.
