I bought this for my PS2 the other day and my girlfriend has tried hiding it everywhere since. It's the best gameI have played in ages, addictive is not the word :D
I have come up against the sniper job at the quay where 8-ball goes in to blow up the container ship. How do you pick off all the guards so 8-ball gets to set all the explosive? Help ;)

Hi,

Here is the way I succeded (tough mission!)
- snipe everything you can (there is "high" spot on the buildings), and AS FAST YOU CAN, then quickly go into the boat with the Uzi and... you know what I mean...
8-Ball is a little stupid, and will come into the boat after you shoot your first bullet, so:
the master advice is: SPEED UP!
The second advice is: make use of the sniper gun at the beginning of the mission!
You can also try to crash the 'entry' guards with a car... not elegant, but efficient :D

That's how I succeded, but I'm sure there are plenty other ways: that's a reason why the game is so addictive!...

I did it by getting a bomb fitted to a car, drove it onto the boat armed and ran, the car debris blocked the ramp so 8 ball couldn't get onto the boat, meanwhile I kill all the guards, and shunt the car wreck out of the way.

Just go onto the roof of the building which is in front of the boat. Drive your car to the building directly in front of the two guards standing there - climb to the top then pick them off. I have found **** loads of cheats ifd anyone wants them - dont do the missions with them buts its real funny when everyone starts rioting!!

Get a rocket launcher with a **** load of rockets and go to the building opposite the ship, up the steps, start by shooting the cartel at the entrance and then then rest of them in the order of who 8 ball would confront first. Careful not to shoot 8ball though.

If you want a quick way of getting a rocket launcher do this

R2 R2 L1 R2 up left down right up left down right.

Wahey, did it! Got on the roof of the warehouse and picked them all off with the sniper rifle!! I'm now trying to kill Salvatore before he reaches the club. I tried using the sniper rifle and got spotted so I'm now using a 4x4 to smash the cr*p outta his car, no luck so far!! :(

There's a nice snipe place near the club...
I'll let you discover it by yourself... Just use you sniper gun, or grenades... Yummy!
advice: don't even thing of smashing Salvatore with a car... His bodyguards are not little girls!

Hey Sparkey, where did you find the rocket launcher? I have the Uzi,slp,flame thrower,shotgun,rifle,petrol bombs ,grenades and the baseball bat so far what else is there before you get to Staunton island?

I stole a lorry and used it to ram Salvatore's car off the cliff into the sea. Other techniques I've used include blocking the entrance to his club with a load of cars, then grenading the whole lot of them as his convoy arrives. The cool thing about this game is the possibilities are endless ;)

Advice: DON'T CHEAT before you end the game: 50% of the pleasure is off.... Except the "no impact" codes:One changes your appearance, another one makes the weather change...

have u tried picking up a prostitute?
Pick one up and go park on some grass :D
Also some splendid jumps in the third city.
Also try car surfing - jump on bonnet/roof of a passing car and stay on there taking aim at whoever you please - jus dont make it the rozzers car.
Finish the taxi misions and u get a super taxi thing.
love having good 6star rampages - army out tanks everywhere lol.

Right, I'm annoyed! :mad: The spanked up dudes in the car lot keep wasting me! How do I kill them? I last about 3 seconds in the car lot!!! Do I stay in my car and crash into them or their vans or do I go on foot and use weapons against them? HELP! :eek:

1 - DON'T STAY IN THE CAR!!!!!
2 - That is NOT a mandatory mission
3 - The way I succeded: get the rocket launcher, get out of the car as quick as possible, and blast their vans (while running!: those junkies are filled up with dynamite, and they explode when they come next to you: 2 blasts, and bye bye Mr Bad Boy!)

As I said in point 1, this is a very hard one. I tried about 1,678,983.567 times before I made it. Try to achieve it later if you don't feel ready...

took a while to work out the suicide bombers. get out of the car immediately and quickly shoot a van with rocket launcher, then run past and get on the roof of the building overlooking the carpark Steps are near one of the entrances. you can now pick off the vans and bombers in total safety, takes a bit of practice tho

I haven't even found the rocket launcher! I have looked around for it. Is it on the first island?

I think you first find the rocket launcher, and the M16 (two of the most powerful weapons) on Staunton Island after you protect the old military guy from the Columbians.
