What is a plug to plug gonna be? A to A or B to B, A to B, B to A?? Help! Its for PC to printer.

whilst we are on the subject how can I tell if my computer has a USB port. If it doesn't how much and how to fit one????

There will be two long thin port on the back of the pc if they are integrated into the motherboard.
Failing that on some older boards you can buy a blanking plate with two ports on it which connect to a plug on the motherboard, these are about £5.
Your best bet is to check the motherboard handbook, if you haven't got it, take the case of and get the model number & manufacturer of the motherboard, will be printed on the board and do a google search for it.
You can download the manuals for just about any board.
Most boards made after the Pentium 2/celeron were release have this capabilty in one way or another. Not sure at which point in AMD's evolution they came about.
