I am reading the new Japanese Performance.

In it, they have a review of the Ralliart Evo 7 Extreme S ..

It has 367bhp, and 393 lb ft of torque. It runs 2.0 bar (29 psi) of boost.

This is all very impressive.

Except..
367bhp @ 3900rpm
393 lbft @ 5000rpm

Something is wrong. The writer of this article doesn't appear to have picked up on it .. by my reckoning, this car's peak power should be AT LEAST 374bhp... in fact, the car revs to 8500rpm, or at least, is strong enough to. This makes me question the power figure even more ... What's going on?

I wish to see a Dyno graph of this car at once as this does not add up :(

I would not be surprised if this car has over 400bhp.. I must email Jap Perf. at once!

I hate to say this but I have the answer...

The turbo is too small. They need something like a trust t06 to breathe properly and then it goes up to about 500 ish bhp. The standard blower just cannot shift enough air and so chokes it after 4000 rpm or so. 2 bar though   that's a lot.

someone will no doubt correct me....

Well thats definitely a logical explanation, but even with the figures they've given for the torque, it should still have 374 bhp and not 367... also, peak torque at 5000rpm kinda makes me think the turbo's a bit big for the car so I think it should rev fairly high before it runs out of air.. I dunno, maybe I will email Ralliart and see if they answer !! hurrah
