weird smilie problem

Sometimes when I hit post reply the board has magically changed my capital D into a small one so it doesn't do the smilie thingy.

why's that? :confused:

I'm on IE 5 at work but opera at home - it has done it on both - and i've noticed other people have sometimes had :d in their posts - but that could of course be coz they missed the shift button :wack::D
