Hmmmmm, tricky one. Leave it with me. Err, I think the R33 is a T28 with a ceramic hot wheel and a composite (plastic) cold wheel. Spins up nice and fast, but if you run more than 14 psi you run the risk of spitting bits of hot wheel down the exhaust!!!
R34 GTS-t has slightly less power than R34 GTS-t (approx 10 bhp I think) so not sure if theyre the same.

Ill give you a call when I find out mate....

I think you would have trouble splitting them over a quarter mile! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif My money would be on the R34 GTS-t tho!! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Its a very weak ceramic T3 fitted to the rb25 not good for high boost.

Well it was made for one purpose, and they don't tend to die on standard cars, so I wouldn't class it as weak as such!

Yep true mate. When I said it was weak, I meant at higher boost. Your pushing your luck running any more then 1 bar on ceramic turbos. Unless you want an engine full of pottery! :o ;)

May be a good upgrade if you where to rebuild it to steel. As it uses the same manifold fitting, and dump pipe fitting as S13 / S14'S. It would save modifying your manifold to fit on the ford jobbey.

No I havent found out anymore really...

I have also been told its a T3 on the GTS, although yet to confirm!

They also run 370 side feed injectors the same as SR20's and also run the same piddly IC as the SR20 S14!

10bhp difference between R33 and R34 - but not sure how.

These cars are still pretty rapid tho - even in std tune. Talkin to a guy who drove one - he said he'd had the rears light up in third gear in the dry! WOW!

Also read somewhere about a guy who tried lots of different turbos on his CA...

He tried an RB ceramic jobbie - It spun up real quick - hitting full boost (14 psi) by 1900 rpm and held it all the way round to the red line!

Need a bit of modding to make it fit tho - this prbably confirms what Jason says - that it is indeed a T3 housing.....
