erm....well.....Dan its like this......

Nathan's DVD player wouldn't play, and Nathan in a not so sober state http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/rolleyes.gif had "issues" with his DVD player...........

Nat,

Have a good here, very good and cheap multi region DVD players. These people actually make the chip that about 90% of the toerh shops fit the their DVD players.

IMPORTANT!!
Make sure you get one with manual region selection, since RCE will prevent some/most new discs from playing of auto only switching players. Yoou can get manu and auto switching, this is handy. If the auto gets caught out on a disk, change the region manually. If you need any advice let me know.

Buy a Wharfedale one.....
On your remote control tap ' open, 1,2,3,4 and then close'......Viola!!! DVD player now region free!!!

Paul, what did he get? and how much did he pay? I know someone who paid £400 for a pioneer player, I told him to wait, he wouldn't; so I coul;dn't save his £150 on the same player with the same multi-region mod. Have got 2 players at home, one is a manual switching player and the other is both manual and auto. The auto side gets phased by some new DVD's but going to manual gets round this.

The auto side works, but changing the DVD player to the correct regiond for the disc, I think. This is far more preferable than the region free or region 0 players that are supposedly caught out by most DVD's including ones meant for the region the player is sold in http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/eek.gif

Quite why I am talking about Nat in the third person is beginning to worry me....

John I got a nice sony job for £199 the picture and sound are great. It also has a million and one features that I will never use because 99.999999999% of the time I just put in a DVD and watch it. Not to worried about different regions either, I can still play swedish porn which is to a much better standard than the american stuff http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Nat,

I have got about 200+ US DVD's which you could have borrowed, well not all at once, if you had a multi region dvd player.

If you change your mind later, you can always get it "chipped" by techtronics for about £80 including couriered delivery.
