Odd question I know ... but noticed you live in Cambridge ... may well be moving there in the next couple of months .... what are house prices like ? ..... and anywhere I should stay clear of ?

Hes just jealous coz theres no sheep up here ;) :D
House prices are VERY high in Cambridge - you are looking at £155K+ for a 3 bed semi in town. Outside its not too bad - south of Cambridge is more expensive than north, but as with most places there are some places that are sought after (like my village - £130K for a 3 bed semi :eek :) and others that arent.
Haverhill is cheap but a bit shytty, Linton area is very nice (coz thats where I live, innit??), Fulbourn is worth a look too, as is Newmarket.
Oh, and there are a couple of hoooge villages being built atm - Cambourne is selling houses now, the other one prolly wont be for sale for another year yet.
If you need any help or anything, dont hesitate to ask - Ive lived here for 15 years now, so know my way around a bit :)

Cool thanks ... looks like if I get the Job I will be taking a dramatic decrease in house size :(

Down here ... I bought my 3 bed detached + front/back garden garage for 130K

of course the new job wont be paying as well ... so looks like a humble flat for me :(
