Some people prefer not to have their number plates showing on an open forum so I would advice you to blank them, there is no hard and fast rule though...

My opinion, if you don't want your plate to show up, cover it up at a meeting or show (vanity plate or something).
I always make a lot of pictures at shows ad such... I don't go and erase every single plate on 250+ pics....
But that's just me maybe....

If i take a picture of someone elses car i always blank the number plate as i would always want mine blanked off too.

I've had one of my cars cloned before and its not nice, it just makes it easy for them to find a car on the site and use the reg.

But if SXers don't put show plates on when pictures are taken then they must not be botherd if you do or you don't, as how many other people could have taken pictures of the same car.

Blank the plates mate. Doesn't take long and that way you know you won't piss people off :)

Blanking the plates is good manners. Don't really think it stops cloning. Couldn't see some lowlife cloner trawling the internet for VRMs when they can just go outside and write them down as cars drive by.

There are many various other reasons people don't want there plates on the net though. You can't assume people won't mind cos you don't. Blank them.
