anyone?

by the way dave, i see you have an evo 6 IC, was it an ordeal to fit (pipes routes etc), if so was it worth it?

A8-RICK...Evo 6 IC
First thing yes it was worth fitting, big time and no it wasn't an ordeal.I now hold 16psi deep into the redline, everytime.

I got the IC off of the Mitsubishi Lancer register www.ltregester.f9.co.uk (http://www.ltregester.f9.co.uk) for £100. Moved the rad towards the engine about six inches, a la Norris Design, Cut the original brackets off of the IC and pop riveted some brackets on and secured it to the car with self tapping screws.

To make room for the piping I moved the battery into the wing by cutting the top off of the windscreen washer filler and slided(?) it inwards.

I used Samco 90 degree pipes on the ends of the IC and paid a local pipe bending company £150 to make up some polished stainless pipes to connect to the turbo and trottle body.

It took me a while to work out how to fit it all in ,but for £330 all in I am the most chuffed IC'ed bloke in IC land

If someone could explain to me how to post photo's, I will post one

Enjoy
Dave

great stuff dave, fancy a bash at that intercooler, (for visual impact alone its got to be worth a little messing), as for the price £100!!! think you got a bargain there mate.

cheers.

I was RR'ed at 235bhp before the I fitted the IC,that was with it dropping the boost at the redline to 12psi,so......holding at 16psi....... 250ish, what do ya think?

The inlet/outlets are at the sides, pointing 45 degree's upwards

Please someone tell me how to post piccy's

I think I may buy a S/H Ford RS500 intercooler, they are smaller in height and width than my Saab unit, the main difference is that it is about 4 inches thick !!!!!

Also I have a Ecotek valve, when I brought my car the previous ownser said the emmisions where quite high, so I fitted it and it sailed through the emmissions test. The only bad point is that its fappin' noisey on the overun.
