Think I'm going to order this tomorrow. Anyone got any opinions on it, good or bad? Can get a Phillips "pixel plus" for pretty much the same price but *assume* the Sony would be better (rightly or wrongly).
Oh, and more importantly, is there anywhere cheaper

Cheers guys :)

Just try getting one back from Curry's in a 200SX :p

I was looking through that and wondered if this one was any good as an alternative.. http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetails/index.asp?modelcode=PAN-TX32PL4&clear= . The Panasonic TV's are normally very good, in my experience.

Hi Mick,

We have a 32" 100Hz Sony TV, not that particular model, but the case looks remarkably similar. We :smitten: it. Picture quality is superb. Don't know much about the sound quality though, cos we bought a Sony DAV- S800 at the same time :D

We got ours from www.unbeatable.co.uk, the cheapest place by far and £30 cheaper than Empire for the TV you are looking at :)

Found this (http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=2379&ReferrerCode=1) for you. Delivery is free too. :)

Whatever you do make sure the TV is in stock. Bought my widescreen to watch the World Cup, and it took three months to come. Didn't see a single match on it. Even when it came, they'd sent the stand for a 28", so had another couple of weeks wait for the right one to come. :annoyed: That was from Curry's.

We got a Panasonics TX28DT4 , discontinued I think now , its great widescreen with freeview built in, went for it as 100Hz screen makes me and my girlfriend feel :hurl: Dont know why they just seem to buzz when watching tv.... I would for sure go for a Toshiba or the Panasonic that replaces our model...Sony used to be the nuts , but I dont think they are now in the top league...

Yep the PD30 is great as well but the amount of faulty ones bought swung me towards the Tosh 32ZP38.

EDIT: Thought I best back that up ..... http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93429

Cheers guys
Think all you have done is made me want to spend more money

Dave, that Toshiba one does look good, could be tempted. Have to see if I could get it in time for the football.
John, cheers mate, will have a better look at that site later on tonight, hopefully will find something I like in there

Cheers everyone :notworthy

id go for philips, in my opinion they have the best image quality, and by far the best tubes.

i bought me a 36" philips 2 years ago and i must say it hasnt let me down ones. It takes a little time to get use to the (digital natural motion) or pixelplus as its called now.

Find a good tv store that dont uses fluorescent light and crappy settings. Youd be amazed what difference the light and settings can do.

Happy hunting
