My friend has just phoned up. The glass in his oven door has fallen out. It is glued inbut the manufacturer won't sell him glue. Just a new door for £150.

I know from experience glueing glass is tricky. Especially when it is going to get hot and cold , expand and contract. Does anyone know of a suitable adhesive for gluing glass into an oven door. I assume it will have to have some flexibility when set to allow for expansion. It will also need to be heat proof?

Ideas?

Cheers guys and gals.

Emmmm, Andy, youre not suggesting that Pete uses that as a glue are you??

I think that is supposed to be food but it looks more like you have had a heavy night on the booze.

You get stranger every day Andy. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

yeah man
thanks for nothing.

I think you should get the award for the most bizarre response to a post.

Perhaps I could try a corn flake at each corner of the glass and soaked with a little milk. They normally spot weld themselves to the plate overnight.
